The Marathon Begins

There are a lot of publicity opportunities for Swing Club as the semester begins. This one is from last Thursday, at Culture Fest...we're on the stage dancing. No, I didn't take the picture; I was not only dancing but organizing the event...so I delegated that responsibility to an innocent bystander.
(Well, not so innocent, he came with one of the girls in the club.) ;)

Rosemary

Ahhh, such a wonderful plant. Not only is it pretty to look at, but it's great to eat! I love to cook with rosemary. It and garlic are probably two of the most used ingredients in our house.
And why not when I have a supply of it in my livingroom? ;)

(There's also a saga behind this photo, but we won't bore you with it now.
It's not a happy one, either. In fact, you may even call it tragic.)

Oliver Photos: Partie nº2

I'm particulary proud of the first photo from yesterday and these first two pics. Mari likes the lavender one as well, so I had to post it, too. Let me know what you think!:)

Oliver Photos: Partie nº1

While at Oliver with Beth et al., I took the opportunity to take a few photos and work on my composition. Comments are welcome!

More to come tomorrow! :)

L'orange de l'orage

The sky looking north.

Our building which faces west (the sun and the oncoming storm).

The flowers, on the other hand, I just love. They are very red and yellow under normal light, but the sunset and storm made them look even more interesting.

Summer Lessons

Sorry the quality of these pictures isn't very good. Indoor lighting with action shots make for difficult photos. Hope you enjoy them anyway!

Mari & I demonstrating a move.

A few folks in our class.

The dreaded (yet successful) Barrel-roll!

This move is a bit more complicated...and one you have to see to be able to understand. (sorry!)

Spot spin in Lindy Hop (also makes a good transition from ECS to Lindy). :)
